College Board is conducting this administration to collect feedback on the student experience of taking a digitally delivered AP Exam. The feedback you provide will help us enhance the experience for future test takers.
Will I be compensated or receive an incentive for my participation?
You will receive a gift card for $50 for completing the AP Dry Run remotely or $100 if you participate in person.
Do I need to prepare or practice for this test?
You need to complete the device readiness steps before test day to prepare your device for testing, follow all test day instructions, and do your best on test day. You don’t need to practice for the test or have taken a digital exam before.

If you’re participating in the AP Dry Run in person, you’ll be testing at the College Board office in New York City (225 Liberty St). If you’re participating remotely, you’ll take the test at home. You must participate in the location noted in your confirmation email (i.e., you cannot test remotely if you signed up to participate in person, and vice versa).
I’m taking the AP Physics 1 Exam remotely. How will I record and submit my written free-response questions?
If you are taking the AP Physics 1 Exam, you can use scratch paper or print out the AP Physics 1: Algebra-Based sample free-response booklet to record your answers. You do not need to submit your written responses.
