Recommendations for Labeling Images

Before uploading your work in the AP Digital Portfolio, you’ll first need to save and label your images for easy reference when you’re ready to upload. Here are some tips you can follow to help keep your work organized.

  • Avoid special characters when labeling your work. Use the standard English alphabet (upper and lower case: A-Z, a-z) or numeric (0-9) values only.

  • Label the image with your first and last name and the sequence order of the image (e.g., FirstLast_1).

  • Keep all of your labeled images in a folder you can easily find and use a name for the folder that you’ll remember (e.g., AP Art and Design Images).

Recommended Image Sizes

  • Increased Maximum File Size: Due to upgrades in the AP Digital Portfolio, the maximum file size for uploaded images has been increased from 3 MB to 4 MB per image.
  • Images should not be smaller than 480 pixels in any direction for optimal viewing.
