AP Art and Design Digital Submission Guide for Students

Learn how to access the digital submission web application, upload and arrange images of your artworks, complete written evidence, and send your digital portfolio to your teacher. And see important updates for 2020-21 on this page.

Keep in Mind

You won’t submit physical artworks in 2020-21.

This year, you’ll submit your work entirely online through the AP Art and Design digital submission web application. There will be no physical portfolios in 2020-21.

The submission deadline is extended for 2020-21.

The deadline for your AP coordinator to forward your portfolio to the AP Program has been extended to May 20, 2021 (by 11:59 p.m. ET). You’ll still need to submit your portfolio to your teacher (or AP coordinator) well before this date, so make sure you know your school’s individual deadlines.

You can learn about portfolio requirements on this site.

Our AP Art and Design program page is a good starting point. Find out what’s expected in each portfolio section and get tips on how to create and assemble your work.
